Electromagnetism for Haptic Interaction with Virtual Objects: Haptic interaction with virtual objects can be enhanced by applying directional forces resembling those experienced when interacting with a physical object. Magnetism is a viable method to achieve these reactional forces. This experimental system combines an electromagnet with a wearable array of permanent magnets to generate forces which are paired with a visual display. More information available in the paper.
