Benjamin Rigsby got his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at USF and will graduate with his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in Summer 2017. His master's thesis focuses on understanding biases and discrepancies in the human sensorimotor system. He will continue at USF as a Ph.D. student working to expand his research to include controls analysis of human response and direct applications in the medical field.
Research: Ben's current projects include studying directional force compensation, bimanual force recreation, and applying controls analysis to model human response. His research interests include upper limb biomechanics, motor learning & training, haptic perception of forces, and human sensorimotor system modeling. |

Mehdi Hojatmadani received his B.Sc. degree from Tehran Azad University Central Branch and graduated in 2013. He continued his study in Bogazici University for his M.Sc. degree in which he worked on the coordinated movement on proprioception perception. After his graduation in summer 2016, he joined the REEDlab and is currently working toward his Ph.D. on thermal haptics in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Research: Mehdi is working on thermal haptic devices and research more on thermal perception and psychophysical aspects of thermal simulation. |
