This project explored actuating a single degree of freedom system using pneumatics and, due to cost limitations, the MMI was a generation one device. The specific motion achieved is that of a bicep curl or the flexion and extension of the user's arm. This was achieved by regulating the airflow and pressure to a double acting cylinder and retrofitting the cylinder to an arm brace which was originally designed for rehabilitation purposes.
